This is our stand-by chocolate chip cookie recipe. This was a recipe that came in one of those dumb chain emails and circulates all the time. Anyway, I was bored one day and just started reading the recipe and thought, dang, that looks good. So, I tried it and HOLY CRAP!
Here is the link to the site, but I will also post the recipe on here:

You can halve this recipe and it still makes a TON -- in fact, the entire recipe barely fits in my Kitchenaid mixer. These also freeze really well. We like to make the cookies like golf ball sized and then they stay soft in the middle just like I like them! If you make them to small they still taste good, they are just too cooked for me...if that makes sense.
Neiman Marcus Cookies (EASY)
2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
2 cups sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal** (You can put this in not blended into a powder or blend it, it is yummy either way)
24 oz. chocolate chips (if I have it on hand, I use several different chocolates, white, semi-sweet, dark, German...)
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2 tsp. vanilla
Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies (If they are little).
**measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
